Hannah
Hannah Sloane-Barton is a labor organizer and former social service worker with a passion for a compassionate, relational and community-based harm-reduction approach to drug use.
In her work, she has had the privilege of supporting several thousand social service workers in building member-driven unions that provide a voice at work. Though union-representation, frontline social service workers at nonprofits including (but not limited to) Cascadia Health, Lines for Life, Columbia Care Services, Sunstone Way, and New Avenues for Youth, have been able to successfully fight for issues such as safer working conditions, fair compensation, employer accountability, and increased government funding.
Hannah believes that workers deserve fairness and respect, every person deserves love, understanding, dignity, and community, and all public policy should have a goal of harm-reduction.
